Naval officer (former Master-at-Arms/current Personnel Officer).
Single.
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Steven Holt Weathers began his Naval career as a Master-at-Arms, providing security and combat support for various operations. He served three tours of duty in the Middle East, the last of which ended seven years ago when he was caught up in an IED explosion. Steve lost hearing in his right ear and was left with several pieces of shrapnel in his right arm. Steve has turned this to his advantage; if someone says something he doesn't want to hear, he simply pretends he literally can't hear them. He also keeps trying to see if he can get magnets to stick to his arm.
After his injury Steve was transferred to the Personnel Office at New London, where he works among a team of other officers to do background checks for security clearances, interview references for job applications, and advise servicemen and women on their career moves. He has a particular affinity for working with other Naval members who have been injured in the line of duty and volunteers at the local Naval clinic. He also has taken new arrival Guinevere "Guin" Davies (![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
aimlesswonder) under his wing, whether she knows it or not, as he can empathize with her trying to find her footing. That hasn't stopped him from playfully hazing her, which some people have started to joke that he might have a crush on her.
Steve has an excellent memory for old personnel files, Trivial Pursuit facts and Backstreet Boys lyrics; he always wears a St. Christopher medal around his neck and long sleeve shirts to cover up the scars on his arm. He also gave himself the nickname "Blue Eagle," but no one ever uses it.

Flirting: Sure. He'll probably flirt back, but not seriously.
Hugging/Kissing: You can try, but he'll be caught off guard.
Killing/Injuring: No thanks. He's had enough damage.
Smut/Ships: I'm not opposed to either, but not actively looking for ships for Steve at this time as he's more of an NPC for Guin. If you want a storyline with him, PM and we can discuss it.
